Centre for OSTEOPATHY

Looking for the underlying cause of your discomfort

Centre for OSTEOPATHY

In our medical practice we are looking for the underlying cause of your problem. This is not always on the spot where you feel your pain! We analyse all elements and take in account those that can lead to your pain. Through correct diagnose and an adequate manual treatement we don’t just treat the symptoms but we tackle your problem in an fundamental way. We then give specific advice in order to avoid the same problem in the near future. This way you can reduce the negetave effect on your (sportive) life.

LMent - [eləˈmɛnt]: We believe strongly in a pure, elementary, evidence based therapy. Our approach: hands-on, focused on those essential elements which caused your problems.

You have a back- or neck problem? You have a (sports) injury or you want to boost your sports performance? Osteopathy and fasciatherapy both offer a holistic approach to support you, each in their own unique way.

Prevention of Hamstring Injuries: Check the Sciatic Nerve!

To prevent hamstring injuries, optimal mobility of the pelvis, hips, and lower back is essential for maintaining proper sciatic nerve function. Elevated neurological tone in the sciatic nerve can contribute to increased pre-tension in the hamstrings, potentially predisposing them to injury when combined with sport-specific loading. The hamstrings are 'pre-loaded'.

Sitting: 'the silent killer'

We sit too much: at home during meals, while watching TV, and at the office behind our desks. By adjusting our work environment, we can become more active right away and prevent back pain!

Osteopathy: 'Evidence based medicine' or 'practice based evidence'?

Here at LMent we made a professional shift from Kinesitherapy to Osteopathy. Besides Frigyes and Bert, Jelle and Fabienne have now also switched to osteopathy. Because we strongly believe in the complementary nature of physical therapy, we will continue to offer it. Tom and Nand take care of this. Olivia does Fascia therapy, which is more in line with osteopathy.
